Shadowverse Evolve TCG Community Update July 2024

Hello Hello, Shadowverse Evolve Players!

I wanted to give an update on what I have been planning and some changes that had to be made. Hopefully, you all can understand that we are trying to keep this growing while doing all the services to create a fun and enjoyable environment for all players who love shadowverse.

Weekly Locals:

We have been going strong with the locals week after week, whether it is 2 people or 10 people we consistently hosted, and thank you all for showing up when you can. The hybrid tournament system has been going great but there were some fees that I did not account for when setting the price, resulting in some losses on some weeks. These losses are caused by the fees for receiving money through things like PayPal and Square (In my opinion they take too much but it is a semi-free service so can I complain lol). Shipping is a big expense with it being around 5.30 per package, and also the box for the prizing is a given. But even with this, there are ways around it, and the solution I found was just raising the locals' price by $1, So locals prizing will be $12 + Tax from now on until inflation allows me to lower it or the cost of these services dip. I wanted to avoid at all costs increasing it to something absurd like 15-20 because at that point it is not enough value for you all. I will always be transparent with you all on changes and what I plan to do, and I always look forward to feedback on anything we can do better or provide for you all.

Promos:

We have cooked up an idea for promos! We have thought of a separate price for players who want promos. The promos would be for the top 3 players, and they would be able to choose the promo they desire through a selection of 4 different promos. These promos would be based on what you all play weekly and promos that are in high demand for our players who do not have access to a physical local. This is just a draft of what we are thinking, and we will not be implementing it right away, we want to see everyone’s thoughts on it so if you like it you can react to this or reply to suggestions with what you think.

Tournament Reports:

With tournament reports it is very tedious to complete the infographic for this, but we are still trying to find a consistent way that we can do this to show metrics and statistics on what everyone is playing and winning with. We also hope this will give just another video for our content creators to make for your audience after each event.

Monthly Leagues:

I am drafting up a system for a league that will reward you all with bigger prizes and more variety of gameplay. Early stages but suggestions are welcome!

Digital Events:

Coming Soon when I get another member on the team to help facilitate, I am one man with limited time but unlimited ideas to make this great for you all.

International Shipping:

Still working on this but my idea I had for this was instead of shipping this out to you all and paying the absurd 20-30 dollar shipping fees I could just pay you out the value of the winnings in cash prizing for our international friends.

Conclusion

I am always thinking of ways to make this better and bring more players in and I thank you all for sticking around week after week.
